STALEY MAN ARRESTED FOR HABITUAL DRUNK DRIVING
April 1- A Staley man was indicted for Felonious Habitual Drunk Driving on March 13th and arrested by Chatham County Deputies at his home Tuesday night. On January 19th, Edwin Gamalier Perez, 31, of 7169 Old Hwy 421 North, Staley was charged with drunk driving and after a certified records check was conducted through the NC Department of Motor Vehicles, it was found that Perez has been convicted of at least 3 other driving while impaired offenses within the last seven years.
He was arrested at his home without incident and jailed under a $50,000.00 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on April 21.
