Investigation Multiple Firearms Found

Asheboro, NC — On Tuesday, June 26, 2007, Burlington Police Department arrested five individuals from Randolph County for Possession of Stolen Firearms.  Burlington Police Department contacted Randolph County Sheriff’s Office for follow up investigation. 

The investigation of the multiple firearms found in the vehicle at the time of arrest, launched a multi-jurisdictional investigation to include Randolph, Alamance, Chatham and Guilford Counties.  Investigators from each the County Sheriff’s Offices, as well as Burlington and Asheboro Police Departments have pieced together stolen property, evidence and witness statements that incriminate the five individuals in at least seven residential Breaking and Entering cases across the four different counties. 

Randolph and Chatham County Sheriff’s Offices have obtained warrants on all five individuals; warrants are expected to be obtained by Alamance County Sheriff’s Office in the near future.  The multi-jurisdictional investigation is on-going, as these individuals are suspects in additional cases in Randolph, Guilford and Alamance Counties.  All five subjects are currently confined at the Alamance County Detention Center..
