DEPUTIES ARREST CHAPEL HILL MAN ON COCAINE CHARGES

June 22- The Chatham County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Office Special Incident Response Team (SIRT), the Interstate Criminal Enforcement (ICE) Team and the Chapel Hill Police Department executed a search warrant at 92 A Cedar Terrace, Chapel Hill in Northern Chatham County. The warrant was a result of a month long undercover drug operation where undercover agents purchased cocaine from   that same address.  The resident, Kenneth Pierre, 24, was arrested without incident and charged with Felonious Trafficking of Cocaine, Felonious Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, Felonious Possession of Cocaine, Felonious Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances and Possession of Marijuana.

Amount of cocaine seized during the operation was 30 grams. Deputies also recovered $412.00 in cash.

Pierre was jailed under a $150,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on July 9.
