May 7-A Sanford man has been arrested in connection with a Breaking and Entering and Larceny that occurred at the residence of Bradley Garner of R Jordan Road, Sanford in southern Chatham County. Peter Smith Jr., 17, of 658 Clarence McKeithan Road, Sanford was charged Monday with Felonious Breaking and Entering, Felonious Larceny and Injury to Personal Property Property.
The incident was reported by Garner on February 3 after he discovered the front door of the residence was broken. He reported $1,140.00 of household goods stolen. A warrant was drawn on Smith on February 19 for the above listed charges. Investigators are continuing their investigation. Smith was released under a custody release and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on May 16.
