GOLDSTON MAN ARRESTED IN SHOOTING INVESTIGATION

May 2- A Goldston man was arrested on Wednesday evening in reference to a shooting that occurred on the Pittsboro Goldston Road around 5:30 pm. Chatham County deputies responded to a shots fired call at 8418 Pittsboro Goldston Road near Goldston. Officers found Anthony McIntosh of 109 Vernie Phillips Road, Goldston at that location with a gunshot wound to his pelvic area.

Information gathered at the scene found that Earl Bynum, 52, of 8418 Pittsboro Goldston Road, Goldston shot McIntosh over an argument about money. Bynum was apprehended on scene without further incident.  The weapon was seized and taken as evidence.

Bynum was charged with Felonious Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury. He was jailed under a $5,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Siler City on May 8.
