MAN CHARGED WITH FELONIOUS BREAKING AND ENTERING TO MOTOR VEHICLE

John WatsonMay 22-A Pittsboro man has been arrested by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office in connection with several breaking and enterings to motor vehicles that occurred at Fitch Creations in Fearrington Village. John Donnell Watson, 21, of 432 Jones Ferry Road, Pittsboro was arrested on Tuesday and charged with 3 counts of Felonious Breaking and Entering to a Motor Vehicle, 2 counts of Felonious Larceny and Injury to Personal Property.

The incident was reported by Robert Flynn, an employee of Fitch Creations on May 21. He reported to officers that unknown subjects had broken into 3 vehicles on the premises and stole $2,200.00 worth of tools. Deputy Chris Marioles conducted the investigation and made the arrest of Watson after gathering evidence, looking at surveillance video and obtaining statements at the scene. Deputies are also looking for another unidentified subject that is involved in the crime. His involvement was captured on the surveillance tape. Watson was jailed under a $15,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on June 6.
