MARIJUANA PLANTS FOUND IN CENTRAL CHATHAM COUNTY

May 14- The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Eradication Team and the Army National Guard Air Units conducted a marijuana eradication operation on Monday. Officers located 53 marijuana plants in six plots near Carolina Hills in Central Chatham County. All plants were ranging in size from several inches to over one foot in height. All plants were destroyed by burning. There are no suspects at this time. Estimated value of the 53 marijuana plants at maturity is $106,000.
