April 2- Chatham County Deputies recovered a stolen 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass valued at $5,000.00 after the driver was stopped by a member of the Ramseur Police Department on Monday afternoon. Deputies notified surrounding counties after the victim, Henry Pugh of Pleasant Hill Church Road, Pittsboro reported it stolen early Monday morning.
Ramseur officers stopped the vehicle later that afternoon and found Kristi Staley, 30, of 6399 Old Staley Road, Staley driving. The vehicle was returned to the owner and Staley was charged with Felonious Larceny of a Motor Vehicle. She was jailed at the Chatham County Detention Center under a $2,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on April 25.
