SILER CITY MAN ARRESTED FOR POSSESSING STOLEN PROPERTY

March 28- The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Siler City man for possession of stolen property on Wednesday night. On March 16, Ralph Teague of Siler City reported a larceny of several thousand dollars worth of property from his residence to the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives developed a suspect and obtained a search warrant for the residence of Anthony Barth, 30, of 77 Dairyview Road, Siler City.

Approximately $10,000 worth of stolen property was recovered from the defendant’s residence pursuant to the search and later returned to Mr. Teague.

Barth was arrested by Detective Daniel Tilley without incident for Felonious Possession of Stolen Property and Felonious Obtaining Property by False Pretense. He was released under a written promise and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on April 18.
