April 20- Justin John Dipanfilo Jr., 28, of 452 Main St, Hatfield, Pa was arrested by Chatham County Sheriff’s Deputy Tom D’angelo at the Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival on Friday evening for several felony drug charges.
While working at the festival, Corporal D’angelo and Deputy Mike McKee observed Dipanfilo approaching festival goers attempting to sell items in a duffle bag. Dipanfilo observed officers watching and began to run when deputies attempted to stop him. Corporal D’angelo quickly apprehended suspect in a wooded area near the festival. His bag was searched and deputies found 55 individually wrapped bags containing 686 grams of Marijuana, 24 bags containing 155 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms and $686.00 in cash.
Dipanfilo was arrested and charged with Felonious Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms, Felonious Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Psilocybin Mushrooms, Felonious Possession of Marijuana, Felonious Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Felonious Manufacturing of Marijuana, Felonious Manufacturing of Psilocybin Mushrooms and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
He was jailed under an $85,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on May 2.
