CHAPEL HILL MAN ARRESTED ON FELONY FRAUD CHARGE

March 30- Michael Lee, 36, of 5202 Old Greensboro Road, Chapel Hill was arrested on Friday morning by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office after Orange County authorities detained him after learning that warrants were outstanding. Detective Joe Edwards conducted the investigation. Robin Payne of Carrboro reported that someone used her credit card without her permission and obtained gasoline from a Kangaroo Convenient Store near Cole Park Plaza. The card was stolen pursuant to a robbery in Chapel Hill.

Lee was arrested without incident and charged with Felonious Obtaining Property by False Pretense. He was jailed under an $800 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on April 11.
