RAEFORD MAN ARRESTED FOR POSSESSING A STOLEN VEHICLE
March 13- The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Raeford man on Tuesday for possessing a stolen 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe. The Sheriff’s ICE Team recovered the stolen vehicle after a traffic stop was done on US 421 near the Randolph County line. Deputies stopped Aaron Morrison, 22, of 601 Hillcrest Drive, Raeford for a damaged license plate. After a registration check was done on the vehicle and a drivers license check conducted on Morrison, the vehicle was discovered stolen and Morrison was found to be wanted by authorities in Virginia.
Morrison was charged with Felonious Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and Driving without a License. He was charged on a Fugitive warrant for Drug violations out of Virginia. He was jailed under a $300,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on March 28.
