SILER CITY MAN ARRESTED ON IDENTITY THEFT CHARGE

February 3-Mitchell Brady, 34, of 138 West Dolphin Street, Siler City was arrested on Saturday by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest was a result of a 2 week-long investigation conducted by Detective Mike Szpunar. The victim, Dennis Greer of Siler City stated that someone was using his ATM Bank Card to withdraw money from his bank account. Brady was developed as a suspect shortly afterwards and arrested without incident and charged with Felonious Financial Identity Theft. He was jailed under a $1,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Siler City on February 13.
