BEAR CREEK MAN CHARGED WITH BREAKING AND ENTERING

February 5-A Bear Creek man has been arrested in connection with a breaking and entering that occurred at B&G Gaines Oil Company, Goldston last month. Shannon Brown, 21, of 8611 Old US 421, Bear Creek was arrested after deputies responded to an unrelated breaking and entering call on R Jordan Road in Southern Chatham County on February 3rd. Deputies stopped a suspicious vehicle in the area that Brown was in and later determined that he was involved in the Gaines Oil Company incident.

He is the second man arrested for this crime. On February 3rd, Dustin Stout was also charged with Felonious Breaking and Entering.

Brown was arrested by Detective Aron McIlvain for Felonious Breaking and Entering and Injury to Personal Property.  He was released under a written promise and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Siler City on March 7.
