SHERIFF’S ICE TEAM MAKES ARREST

January 15- Deputies from the Chatham County Sheriff’s “ICE” team arrested a Richfield man for charges stemming from the Albemarle Police Department after a traffic stop was conducted on Monday morning. Pete Speights, 39, of 48487-A Willie Road, Richfield was stopped on US Hwy 64 for a traffic violation and officers discovered he was wanted in Albemarle for felony charges.

Speights was arrested without incident and charged with Felonious Larceny and Felonious Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. He was jailed under a $20,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Stanley County District Court in Albemarle on January 29.
