NEW HILL YOUTH ARRESTED ON FELONY FRAUD CHARGE

January 30- Jordan Hinkle, 16, of 196 Woods of McCoy, New Hill was arrested on Tuesday by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office. Corporal Brad Clewis conducted the investigation. Constance Caldwell reported that someone used her credit card without her permission and obtained over $1,400.00 worth of merchandise. The investigation led to a to Ms. Caldwell’s son, Jordan.

Hinkle was identified by a video surveillance camera at one of the stores that some of the merchandise was purchased. He was arrested without incident and charged with Felonious Larceny of a Financial Transaction Card and Felonious Using a Illicit Transaction card. He was jailed under a parental custody release and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on February 14. No photo available.
