MONCURE MAN ARRESTED ON FELONY LARCENY CHARGE

Philip JonesJanuary 28-Chatham County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested Philip Jones, 41, of 4802 Old US 1, Moncure on a Felony Larceny charge pursuant to an incident that occurred in August of last year. The original case was reported to the Sheriff’s Office on August 26, when deputies responded to a report of a Larceny of a Troy-Built riding Lawnmower and a 4 horsepower weed eater from the residence of Kevin Keas of Moncure. Detectives obtained a warrant on Jones in November with they discovered evidence that connected him to the crime.

He was arrested on Sunday for one count of Felonious Larceny. He was jailed under a $2,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on January 31.
