PITTSBORO MAN CHARGED WITH BREAKING AND ENTERING, WOMAN FOR POSSESSION OF METH

Christopher TeagueJanuary 22-A Pittsboro man has been arrested in connection with a breaking and entering that occurred on Silk Hope Gum Springs Road. Chatham County deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle near 4534 Silk Hope Gum Springs Road early Monday morning and found Jennifer Elixson, 19, of 11726 US 64 West Pittsboro asleep in the passenger side. While officers were conducting their investigation, Christopher Teague, 27, of 4640 Silk Hope Gum Springs Road, Pittsboro was coming out of a wooded area with a flashlight strapped to his forehead. Deputies searched the surrounding area and found 2 storage sheds broken into and several thousand dollars in damage to items inside those sheds. There were also several car batteries stolen from vehicles on the property as well.

Deputies found 2.4 grams of Methamphetamine and 4.7 grams of Marijuana when they searched the vehicle and charged Elixson with Felonious Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released under a $5000.00 unsecured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on February 14.

Teague was arrested for Felonious Breaking and Entering. 2 counts of Felonious Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle, 3 counts of Felonious Larceny, 8 counts of Injury to Personal Property and Misdemeanor Larceny. He was jailed under a $35,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on February 7.   Elixson photo not available at time of release.
