WOMAN ARRESTED FOR STEALING CAR, VIOLATING PROBATION 

January 18-Chatham County deputies arrested a Siler City woman for several felony charges Thursday afternoon after she was jailed on a Probation Violation. Tawana Sanford, 22, formerly of 317 Moffitt Street, Liberty was arrested for 2 counts of Felonious Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, 2 counts of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and 2 counts of Larceny. The charges stemmed from 2 separate incidents that occurred in Asheboro and Ramseur last fall. At the time of her arrest, Sanford gave deputies a 668 East 4th Street, Siler City address.

She was jailed under a $22,500.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Randolph County District Court in Asheboro on January 23.
