MAJOR NARCOTICS INVESTIGATION STARTS IN SILER CITY, ARREST MADE IN COUNTY

January 10, The Chatham County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and investigators of the Siler City Police Department executed a search warrant at 84 Arrow Point Lane, Bear Creek pursuant to a drug investigation that began in Siler City. The residence searched was that of Amanda Marie Tillman, 25. Agents arrested Tillman after seizing 97.2 grams of Methamphetamine from the home. The street value of the drugs is $15,000.00. Officers charged Tillman with the following charges:

Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine

Felony possession with intent to sell and deliver Methamphetamine

Felony maintaining a dwelling place to keep, use or store controlled substances

Tillman was placed under a $35,000.00 unsecured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on February 7.
